Jennifer Douglas

As an educator with a Master’s in International Education from Endicott College in Massachusetts, I’ve always believed that some of the best learning happens beyond the classroom. My love of exploration has taken me around the world and throughout Peru, where I’ve had the opportunity to experience its incredible landscapes, history, cultures, and communities firsthand. Peru’s rich blend of ancient civilizations, living traditions, and diverse ecosystems makes it an extraordinary place to learn through exploration.

My teaching experience has taken me to Indonesia, Namibia, Vietnam, Qatar, and Malta, where I’ve had the privilege of working with children from diverse backgrounds and creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences. I’ve also served as both an Assistant Director and Director of children’s summer camp programs, including programs with the YMCA and iD Tech, giving me years of experience creating fun, enriching experiences for kids both inside and outside the classroom.

I love turning a new place into a classroom—whether we’re investigating ancient history, discovering local traditions, exploring the natural world, or simply following a student’s unexpected question down an exciting path. I believe learning should be curious, active, and fun, and my goal is to help students connect what they learn to the world around them, ask thoughtful questions, and see themselves as explorers and lifelong learners. When we can combine a little adventure, a lot of curiosity, and some real-world discovery, that’s when the magic happens!
